Gauze Cueing Effect

Gauze Cueing Effect

The gaze cueing effect is a phenomenon in which a person's attention is drawn in the same direction as another person's gaze. This effect plays an important role in neuroweb design, as it can be taken into account when designing websites in order to direct the user's attention.

For example, by having a model on a website look directly in the direction of the call-to-action, the user's attention is drawn in this direction, increasing the likelihood that they will click on the call-to-action. The gaze cueing effect can also be used to strengthen users' trust in a brand or product, for example by placing images of people on a website who look directly into the camera and thus establish eye contact with the user.
