Multisensory Enhancement

Multisensory Enhancement

Multisensory enhancement refers to the improvement of perception and processing of information by addressing several senses simultaneously. This concept is based on the realisation that the human brain integrates information from different sensory modalities (e.g. sight, hearing, touch) to create a comprehensive perception.

In neuroweb design, the concept of multisensory enhancement can be used to improve the user experience on websites. By using visual elements, such as colours, shapes, images and videos, in combination with auditory and tactile elements, such as sounds or haptics, users' attention can be increased and a deeper connection to the website can be established.

For example, multimedia content such as videos, animations or interactive elements can be used on websites to create a better visual and auditory experience. In addition, the use of special haptic feedback systems that provide the user with tactile feedback can create an even more intensive experience.
